Default Deleting 500 messages

Please Login to Remove!

I am having a little problem. I have a BB Curve 8330 Bell Mobility on BIS and have an IMAP email account setup. Yesterday I was moving messages around on my server when all of a sudden all my messages got duplicated on my BB for an unknown reason. I now have over 500 unopened messages in my BB inbox and only there. They are not on the server anymore. I really want to get rid of them all without doing it manually. Anyone has a suggestion on how to achieve that without blistering my thumbs?

Thanks for the help

Hold down the left shift key and highlight the messages, then you can delete all at once. Or you can select the date and do delete all prior, but it would delete any other emails on the device also.

Sure open the message folder. postion cusor at the very top (or any date line) and press Menu>Delete Prior

Enjoy!

But if you don't have them any else aren't you scared to lose them all???
And you will LOOSE them when you do this.

You can always backup you device and clear the messages in the Desktop Manager / Backup / Advanced. Then it should resync what you have left on the server... But the previous poster has the prefered method....

Thanks for the help. I solved that problem.

Now a new one. Can I reset the unopened message indicator at the top of the screen? I went through all my messages and all are opened but I still have the icon telling me I have an unopened message.
