Default Media Card Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Im trying to use my media card in my phone, and was able to before I upgraded 4.5 OS. Now it is telling me:
Media card cannot be read. Verify that the media card is formatted.
I tried to format it with blackberry and says:
Media Card Format Failed
I tried this with mass storage on and off, makes no difference. I also tried putting the card in my computer to format that way and the computer doesn't recognize it.
I was using this exact card before the upgrade with no problems, any suggestions? Can the cards go bad?

I don't know for sure but it sounds like the card went bad. If you can't view it on the computer or the phone it's less likely that it's the upgrade.

Cards can easily go bad, but it's just strange that it went right after you upgraded your BB. I have to agree with barbwyr though, if your computer wont read it then replace the card.

Wirelessly posted

Right after upgrade...That is why I'm asking what os is on his cpu he is running. If the bb doesn't see the card just pluging the phone into the cpu won't help. Now if he takes the card out puts it into a reader and it doesn't work(depending on cpu os and card size) then yes the card is junk. Just more free options before buying a new card that might not work eaither.
