I have a Problem, I bought a Sprint BB8330 but now want to use it with verizon, What can I do?

At this time it is not possible to activate it on the Verizon network.

there is one with verizon service available on the market... are you sure?

Yes, there is an 8330 with Verizon service available, however, a Sprint 8330 is not able to be activated on Verizon's network.

do you know why?

also it can't be change to GSM? I know its a stupid question

no its cannot be changed to GSM... and its because the phone is identified by the ESN, unlike GSM which is the SIM card... its as simple as verizon doesn't want phones they did not sell you on there network... its as simple as that... technologically its possible for them to put your sprint device on there network, its just they dont want to... hence why its not possible at this time

there is nothing to "unlock" on the device... CDMA device are not per say "locked" to the carrier, as i explained they can be activated on the network, its just not allowed...

with GSM devices there is a software lock that will only let you use a SIM card from the carriers its branded to, hence why you can unlock it (unlock that software part) to use any SIM card in the device, because GSM technology uses the SIM card to identify everything, where with CDMA everything is identified on the phone and ESN(serial number of the phone)

nope. because it would probably be a violation of policy and procedures... and if i were to get caught i would get fired.... just like at rogers, if we were to open a friend or family members account its logged and we would get canned
