I think I need to reload my current O/S...AT&T 4.2.2. For some reason I cannot read my attachments anymore and I've tried on Desktop v4.3 to uninstall and re-install Attachment Services. These used to be viewable and the e:mails showed a paperclip....now it does not. I can see there is attachment but when I click on for MENU no option to view.

So, any ideas or do I need to reload O/S? How can I do this with current version ?...don't want to upgrade past my AT&T 4.2.2.170.

Why would attachment service all of a sudden not work ?

Perhaps you deleted it from the BB?

Did you try loading it from DM > App Loader?

Personally, I would recommend loading the latest officially released OS for the 8700, but you do whatever you think is best.

I have a 8310...not 8700. The latest O/S on AT&T site is 4.2.2.170. I know BB Forums has 4.5.xx. I went back into app loader and it showed that the attachment service was there.....also showed on phone...even though did not work anymore. So, I unistalled then re-installed the attachment service....no luck. So, I am now reloading the 4.2.2.170 O/S. If this does not work....I'll upgrade to 4.5 O/S.

8310 -- even more reason to go OS 4.5

Why is that ?

Because the 8310 is a great multimedia smartphone, adn OS 4.5 adds video recording and HTML email to the functions, and lots more.
