| There are two ways that I'm aware of. First: if you have just one or two filters in Gmail and can reproduce the filters is your BIS setup, that's the easiest way to do it.
Since Gmail's filter mechanism is a lot more flexible than the BIS filters, it may not be possible to accurately reproduce the Gmail filters under BIS. If that's the case with your filters, or you just don't want to duplicate the effort, see the second option below. Second: If you setup your BIS to access your Gmail via IMAP, any filters you have in Gmail that "skip the Inbox" (i.e. archive the messages) will also filter message being pushed to your Blackberry, since with IMAP the "push" only happens with messages in your Inbox. dankarlinski's suggestion will work if you're trying to stop copies of sent messages from being pushed to your device, but if I read the original post correctly, that's not what you're trying to do. |
