Default Video won't play? - 10-13-2008, 08:11 PM

I just shot my first video with my digital camera (Nikon Coolpix P3) and I was quite impressed with its' quality! I wanted to see how it looked on my 8310 so I transferred the file to the video folder on my BB and I tried to play it but nothing happens, the player says that it is loading but it never plays, I sat it down for over an hour and it still says that it's 'loading'! The file is 33MB in size and it is a .mov file, which according to the hanbdbook is supported, but it won't play. The sample video that is preloaded on my BB plays fine.

Can anyone suggest what my problem might be?

Thanks,
Ray

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Did you send through Roxio in desktop manager?

No I didn't, I've never been able to get that program to work correctly, so when I transfer anything I just open my BB as a drive and go to the folder where I want to put something (sound, picture, etc.) and drag & drop the file there, it's always worked for me with sounds and pictures and it seemed to work with this particular video file, at least it shows up in my BB with the same file name & size as the original file.

Thanks for the reply!

You have a media card, right?

You might need to do the Roxio conversion.
