Default BB MediaSync for itunes - 10-14-2008, 07:30 PM

Hey I was trying to figure out why my phone would not go to the home page and its stuck on the agree/disagree page for a Yellowpages.com app but anyway when I went to Blackberry.com on my phone i saw that there is a downloadable file to your desktop that allows you to sync itunes well when i went to install it i got this error:

Setup has detected a non-English version of .Net1.1 on the system. Please apply the appropriate .Net1.1 Service Pack 1 before continuing with this installation.

You guys are the experts. Any ideas?

Run a windows update.

What OS are you running?

If it still does that after the windows update go into the control panel add/remove programs and let me know what you have in for .Net Framework.

I don't think that's it. Is your computer OS language English?

You should see Microsoft .NET Framework and the version. Version 1.1 is what is recommended for use with BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

You can download it here:
Download details: .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package

Edit to add...
Did you get the message on your BlackBerry about the non-English version of .Net1.1 or on your PC?

Also if you have other language packs installed on Vista you may want to uninstall it if you don't need them. There were a few problem with certain languages packs back when SP 1 was released. I don't remember which ones exactly.
