Default Modifying email account config

Please Login to Remove!

Hello
I had previously configured by T-Mo BB 8320 with a certain POP3 email account of importance.
My email provider has partnered with google and encourages web interface, and also migrating accounts away from POP3 and to IMAP.
I have received server info on IMAP config. When I try to edit my BB email account, the 'account type' is greyed and I cannot change from POP3 to IMAP.
I have tried deleting the account completely, but when I try to reestablish it, it confirms success after just entering email address & password--I don't get the chance to config this address for imap.
I've tried configuring through the handheld and through my.t-mobile.
Have upgraded BB OS to latest and desktop software is latest.
I just need to get this email account configured as IMAP on my BB.
All suggestions appreciated...
-Robert

Try leaving the password blank and then following the google directions as listed.

P.S. the bb doesnt do well with IMAP.. it actually slows things down quite a bit

Thanks for the tip--it worked; allowed me access to server settings. I did some checking around and decided to re-configure it as a POP account on the BB
