I've search on the forums but haven't seen a specific question that covered my need so I thought I would post a new thread.

Ok, so I have a GMail account setup and it is forwarding emails to my 8330 as expected -- but the notifications for the incoming emails go to both my "Messages" folder and my email folder.

Is there a way to:
1. Have the emails only go to the email folder?
and 2. Only receive the alerts (be it a vibration or sound) for SMS messages and phone calls only? I don't want to be alerted to incoming emails.

Here's a little more detail. Under options, you can set the SMS and email to seperate or combined. I went with coombined, then hid my Inbox icon. All messages go to the message folder anyway.

As for the alerts, you can set up specifics for whatever sound profile you use, just make sure its active before you edit it. (This is under the ADVANCED option of the profile selection screen.
