Default OS 4.5 PDF attachment viewer / RepliGo Reader

Please Login to Remove!

Until recently updating to OS 4.5 from Verizon I was using 4.3 on my Curve and found the PDF attachment viewer to be pretty lame - requiring manually enhancing a zoomed view, and it's inability to pan an enhanced view. The only reference I've seen to this in discussions regarding OS 4.5 is that the Enhance menu option is missing (and I too noticed it was missing).

Seeing this, I decided to try RepliGo Reader, and even though BeamReader is still in free beta (as of this writing), I decided to go with RepliGo because of its apparent link to the PDF viewer in Docs to Go, and because I had a 35% off coupon code that could potentially expire at any time.

Yesterday I saw a friend viewing a PDF file on his BB, and not only was it readable, but he could pan too. Apparently they improved the PDF attachment viewer and it now automatically enhances a zoomed view AND allows you to pan the enhanced image. If I had known this prior to looking at RepliGo Reader I probably wouldn't have even bothered with it, although it does provide a clearer image when zoomed, and provides a few other features.

Is there a way I can set RepliGo Reader to be used when I Open an attachment, instead of having to download it to my memory card first, similar to the way Docs to Go works?

P.S. I posted in this forum (rather than a 3rd Party Apps forum) primarily because I wanted to bring to light this previously unmentioned (as far as I can tell) feature of the OS 4.5 update for the Curve.
