Default 8330 Curve (Verizon) Questions

Please Login to Remove!

I am considering this phone. I have been through these phones lately
Razzr2 V9- Great Phone, lacks Outlook sync.
Palm Treo 700P- Great device, poor phone quality
Voyager- Neat device, not great phone quality.

I am looking for a phone that has great phone quality, and easy visability (decent screen size, large fonts) for my aging eyes.

I want to be able to sync with MS outlook (Windows)

Is this a phone that would do what I want.

If this is not the right choice, can you suggest one.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

You have 30 days to try it out.
The curve is the top Verizon BB at this time. The Storm may surpass it but that hasn't been proven yet.

Thanks, I was waiting on the storm, but see some problems with this first touchscreen, or maybe for me touch screens are not the ticket, I even have issues with my ipod touch.

I had the Voyager.. what a piece of crap! I went through 3 in 3 months! The touch screen would freeze.

I traded it in for the Blackberry Curve 8330. I LOVE THIS PHONE OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first of all, i cant believe i didnt get this sooner.... when Verizon told me about the Storm when i got this, i said "no touchscreens until they work out the kinks"

I have NO regrets!!!!!

Picked one up an hour ago, will let you know my thoughts soon. So far call quality is good, that is a major plus. In the past seemed to have to give up call quality for usablitly.

I think this is the right phone for you. I've had mine for about 2 months now and have 0 complaints. I've had no problems syncing with Outlook, the phone quality is superb compared to other phones that I've used. The fonts are adjustable and the screen is bright and easy to read. I even upgraded the OS w/o many of the problems mentioned in these forums. The only thing I've noticed is the speaker phone bug when you first answer a call. It only last about a second, and it's very random that I notice it happening. Hope this helps!

I went looking for a Storm, but came out with a Curve instead.

I think the Curve is the top of the line Verizon phone right now.
