My TASK icon has disappeared. I wiped out the software, reinstalled it but still no luck. Can anyone assist me with my 8310 Curve. Thanks DOC

What do you mean, you wiped out the software? Did you erase the OS and then reinstalled it? Connect your BB back to your PC and run App Loader. Make sure that you check 'Tasks' so that it gets installed...

Their is no task option via App Loader

I re downloaded a fresh version of 4.2 Software from the Blackberry Website but their was no Task Option on the App. Loader for me to check.

No, you need to install the BB OS on to your PC. The 4.7 is the Desktop Manager, not the BB OS. Also, why don't you upgrade to a 4.5 version on your BB? The instruction are at the top of the 8300 forums.

Are you sure you didn't just accidentally hide the icon? From the home screen, select the menu button and then select show all to see if it might be hidden.
