Default Weathereye download fails on Curve

Please Login to Remove!

Having a pretty strange problem here.

I'm trying to download weathereye from the following link:

t://weyebb.pelmorex.com/BlackBerry/
(I Had the add the third t in http because it would not allow me to have a link in this post)

Whenever I attempt to download, I get the following error:

907 Invalid COD
HTTP Error 404: Not Found

I have have tried browser emulation as Internet Explorer, Pocket IE, Blackberry and have had no luck.

Also found mention in another post that mentioned a problem with trying to download with WAP Browser, but I have also confirmed that this setting is set to Internet Browser.

Also tried the obvious things such as pulling the battery, resending service books and checking for software updates online.

I am on version 4.5.0.81 on a Curve 8310 through the Rogers Network. Any ideas?

Finally, I tried loading onto a colleague's phone that I setup for him and his worked perfectly fine, but mine still will not.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Steve

Assuming that the OS on your device is higher than 4.2.. use this OTA link to download Weather Eye.

Definetly sure that I can get online. That's how I got to the page to get the link. Thanks Raja. I'll give this a shot. Funny thing is that it worked on the other curve that I tried it on and not this one. So wierd.

File that you download is WeatherEye.jad which is java file. It does not support by my 8300 curve. Suggest that if you love to see weather then using Viigo is seems ok.

Actually wissawac,

I don't believe that is the case. I have this software installed on 3 out of 4 of the exact same model of curves. It is such a strange problem as I have gone through setting by setting and compared them to other curves and it just doesn't seem to work. Same programs loaded identically. Just can't get it to download.

I have also tried the link that was given above and no joy with it either. Same problem

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Steve
