I am planning to get a BB Curve from T-Mobile. From what I have read iin other postings, I should get the full BB plan at first so I can have all the features. If I need to cut down on expenses and turn off BB services, I know I will not get email, etc but can I still synch my outlook calendar and contacts using the BB desktop software?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!

Yes, you will be able to sync via DM without a data plan.

thanks for the quick response. I hope to keep the data plan but with this economy, you never know.

Keeping my calendar current is the most important issue for me.

Search around the forums for more tips. Also, check out BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ. There's tons of useful information there!

I'll bet a lot of people have Blackberrys and only sync to the DM and dont bother to have a data plan.
