Question Newbie ??? Part II

Please Login to Remove!

Hello... my question is:

1)I have a pic stored in my phone, either one I took or transferred over from my PC, how to I send to a contact?

My old phone was a Samsung M300, I would go to the pic and send it via text/phone number to my receipiant...Now the only options for my BB Curve are via Bluetooth or email. Is there a way to send via SMS Text?

2) What is a PIN?

Thanks
Larry

The BB does not send photos via SMS, sorry

The Pin is the internal number used by a Blackberry to directly communicate with another BB.

Go to Tools /Status and you will see your Pin number.

BlackBerrys DO send photo messages.

It is Sprint which does not send photos via SMS. Most other carriers do, and they are called MMS messages (SMS + a file = MMS).

Meanwhile, you can send the photo via an email message.

JSanders,
I tried this with mine and nothing was sent. Maybe the IT options are blocking it. It did work via standard email. I suppose using SMS is a nice option if you dont have email on the cell phone.
Thats why everyone needs a least one Blackberry or two !!!

Yes MMS is enabled on my AT&T account. Pics are sent easily to other MMS enabled phones.
