Curve 8330
OS: 4.5.0.97

Removed Blackberry Maps in favor of Google maps.
Now I hear that VZW unlocked their GPS for the 8330 and the 8130.

Would like to try this by reinstalling BBMaps.

I get a FATAL error when I try and install the app using Desktop Manager 4.7.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Did you just checkmark the BBMaps box inside the apploader in DM 4.7? A fatal error is usually caused by conflicting commands or corrupt file. I would download and overwrite the OS to your PC and then try again.

That worked. Downloaded the .exe for .97 and installed it again. chose the blackberry maps checkbox and voila. I'm golden!
