Ran under the instructions how to tether my bb with os 4.5 on my win xp computer all I got is a 680 error no dial tone. Any clues on my set up maybe?

While connecting did you chose the computer modem or the BB modem? While setting up the connection, please ensure that you select the correct modem. This is similar to a scenario where you try to connect to ISPs like AOL using dial up connection. Now if you forget to connect your modem and phone line you will be getting a similar message.

Make sure you have Desktop Manager running; otherwise your connectoid won't see the Blackberry/Modem.

Thanks for some of the tips. I didn't know both had to be running. I have a new one though. It looks like it tries to connect but goes into a call failing. Tried the ap files for the tmobile phones at different port speeds heck got best result at 300 before it failed.
