So the device will vibrate and give an audible alert and the red light will flash, like it's getting a call or text, but when I go to check... nothing. For the heck of it I'll hit Mark Prior Opened but... red light keeps flashing! I'm being driven to the brink of insanity with this.

Anybody? Help?

You're getting a message somewhere. Until you open or clear it, the red light will blink.

Weatherbug, perhaps?

Blackberry Messenger or you have recieved an e-mail or a voice mail or some type of notice on your device

Do you have the GMail app installed? I had this happen to me before. Viigo Channel Alert also got me.

Be sure to select "Show All". Even hidden apps can trigger the notification.

Brilliant. It was Gmail. I had to go into the Gmail mobile settings and turn off the New Mail notifier option.
