Hey, I purchased an 8310 in late December of last year. I used it until August at which point I sold it to my friend, who is still using it now.
She recently (starting just last week) has been having problems with it, she says first of all that she can barely type on it it keeps showing the hourglass symbol, and it's just running really slow and horrible and a lot of things don't work.
For example, I just called her, and she said first of all that it didn't say the name she has for me in her phonebook, it said the name that it would say on the caller ID if she didn't have me in the phonebook. And she said it didn't even ring, she just saw the red light flashing and then it said incoming call or whatever and she pushed the talk button but it wouldn't even answer the call.
And then she had to try calling me back like 5 times before it even went though. Things like that.
It had the latest software when I passed it over to her in late August, I don't really know what to do? She did battery pull several times, it doesn't help. I'm not really sure what would make it act like this? She didnt' install any software on it or anything. Would doing a wipe and then restoring the backup help? Any other tips? Thanks.
