Hello, I have a 8330 on the MTS network (bell mobility) i successfully tethered it to my laptop when i was getting an 1EVDO signal and on that plan. Our company has now switched to the 1X plan (unlimited), which still allows me to get data to my BB (email and intenet via BB) both I cannot successfully tether anymore.

Is there a work around to this to make the dial up work, or is dial-up shut off because of not having the 1EVDO signal vrs the 1X signal?

It's possible that since the plan was changed you need to set up the device to tether again. I had a similar problem with Verizon on a personal account. It happened right after I changed my plan, I had to call my provider back to reorder the tethering. If I remember correctly the tethering needed to be reinstated onto my plan. I would confirm with your administrator. Since the plan was changed, it's possible that the tethering is only available to those that ask.
If you use bluetooth you may also need to reconfigure between the laptop.
