Default Password Keeper

Please Login to Remove!

I wonder if anyone can help.

I own a Blackberry Curve.

I have a number of Password's stored in Password Keeper. A few days ago I decided to change my Password into PK into something more secure - so secure it won't now let me in! I assume what I think I typed in and what I actually typed are 2 different things.

I have 2 questions - what happens after I have tried to type in the password ten times without success and is there any way I can unlock PK without loosing all the Passwords installed therein.

Many thnaks.

If you input a wrong password 10 times, then password keeper will erase all the passwords stored, then it will re-initialize to factory settings and when you open it again it will ask you for a new password twice (including verification) to open the application.

And I do not think think there would be any way of unlocking your PK without your password. If there would have been a way then it does not make any sense for having a password keeper. Sorry dude !! Hard Luck

Thanks for the answer - pleased to say that it helped me concentrate my mind and I remembered the password correctly!

Mind is a misterious and powerful thing!!!

The trick is to use those powers properly

Glad it worked out for you.

Along the same subject line... When you back-up your BB, does it back-up the PK content as well? And if so, is there a way to access it on the computer?

I use keepass, which can store DB on PC and USB drives too, this way, if you forget you don't have all wiped off passwords, it works great on BB, Win and Linux too.

And you're allowing someone who doesn't know your password (and shouldn't know it) unlimited tries to guess it!

Default There is a way to beat the 10th input of Password Keeper

This is providing you have BB Desktop Manager and have made backups.

First enter the last password "guess" and let the BB delete all your passwords which will allow you to set a new password.

After you have reset your password do a "advanced" backup from your Desktop Manager, select Password Keeper file on the left and have it restore to the right.

Then open your PK and all is well again.
