Default Getting 8350 soon how do I play a flipp'n WAV file???

Please Login to Remove!

I'm one of those who's been slogging along with a 7100i (Nextel BB) for years waiting for a refresh. Well it's actually going to happen soon. Of course us nextel users are all excited about 2yo technology, but excited we are. We are getting Curve's!!!

I have been using my 7100i on BIS for the past few months and love it. Does everything I want except 1 thing...

Our voicemail systems emails me my voicemails in .wav format. Can't play them on my BB.

Question:

HOW DO I PLAY A .WAV ON MY NEW 8350 WITH BIS???

If I accomplish this, I will be at peace with technology (until the next great thing comes up).

Thanks,

Roveer

Wirelessly posted (by Milton and his stapler.)

It doesn't support wav files.

Received a voicemail with attached .wav on my new 8350i, clicked on the .wav and it played. Yee ha... Must be a feature in the new OS?

I believe that from the 8100 and up .wav files were supported.

Dont' get me started. The 7100i was old when I got it new. I'm just glad to have something new (of course the 8350i while new is still 2 models old). Oh well.

Talking

Make sure you are sending the wav file as an attachment your text address (messaging.nextel.com) with the x's being your phone number. Sending it as an attachment to one of your email accounts will cause the error you talked about.
Post here if it works - It worked fine for me. It comes as a clickable box on the main screen - No need to 'download attachment' or anything else. Plays instantly.

when i've loaded songs on there for ringtones in wav format they would not play. look online for a media converter. I use Adobe Soundbooth... but that woul be an expensive fix
