Default problem with 8310 getting service

whats up blackberryforums, i need a little help with this problem. ok my friend has a blackberry curve 8310, when he put his atnt simcard in his atnt blackberry and waits untill he gains service it never gains service. it just says searching for service then it says on No Service. he has the blackberry data plan. he has another blackberry curve the same exact phone and when he inserts his card in that phone it works perfectly fine...i have no idea whats rong with the blackberry can anyone help us out reall quick

Hi

He needs to go to the AT &T BIS website and change device. It should automatically detect the new PIN and IMEI and ask him if he wants to switch devices, follow any prompts.
