my suggestion to current 7100i users is to use the BB DM's Switch Device Wizard to transfer over your data to the 8350i... you can opt to switch SIM as well but it is really unnecessary unless you have a bad one now... and don't forget to send Service Books . . .

I got my BB yesterday and it came with a new sim card, so i backed up my old one and hooked up my new one and restored it to my old back up. I also had to call nextel to activate to switch everything over. The guy was real helpful and I'm sure there was a better way to do it but it worked and the phone works.

Always use the new SIM. The 7100i SIM does not support Group Connect.

The easier way was to use the Switch Device Wizard rather than doing a Back-up of 7100i and a Restore on 8350i. . .

I used the BB desktop manager CD that came with my BB and clicked on the device switch wizard. and was able to load all my info (contaicts, DC numbers, settings ECT..) from my 7100i to my 8350i. It worked like a charm took less than 5 minutes

way to go . . . make sure your send Service Books as well.

I did not have to send the service books when i called sprint to activate my 8350i they asked me for 1 email address and the girl on the phone did it. i sat back and watched all my new icons pop up on the screen for all my email address. pritty cool.
