Just switched to the curve 8330 on verizon from the pearl. Really enjoying it. The Backlight is set at 100% but when I have it out of the holster the screen seems to change on its own from very bright to bright. There is a noticable difference. I can't seem to control this. Is this normal? I brought in it tonight to the verizon store and the rep witnessed it and offered to replace it although his curve screen wasn't any brighter than mine. Any sugestions?

did a search here and found an answer. If the curve is in very bright light, the screen gets brighter. When it is out of bright light it dims. Seems counter intuitive but I'm still enjoying my new curve

The only thing i can this of is the auto dim feature. options>screen/keyboard>auto dim backlight- turn it off

I found the same thing gets brighter and then bright im like what in the world is up with this? But yea I guess its automatic
