i'm browsing and would like to save the web page. One of the menu items says Save Pag, so i click it and it offers Save to Message list, then Name: Google Search. If i click o.k. can i see/read this page while offline? If so, where do i go in the menus to find it?

Open your Homescreen and click on your 'Message' icon and there you should see your saved pages.
