Default Can I created email folders using BIS?

Please Login to Remove!

I know I can't synch my emails with my outlook because I have BIS and a POP3 email account. However, I was wondering if it is at all possible to simply set up a few folders on my curve where I can organize saved emails (i.e., on my media card?). A friend of mine said her Verizon rep set this for her at the store for her personal POP3 email account which is with the same email carrier I have. (However, she does have BES for her work account.) I really don't need all the folders I have in outlook at my fingertips, I just don't like seeing the growing stack of unorganized saved emails I like to have available as the week passes. I'm hesitant to get GMail so I can synch with my outlook, I hate their "label" system and don't know how well it will "synch" with my outlook folders already existing in Outlook. Anyone have any ideas?

Has anyone tried to go through GMail to get their Outlook to synch since they have BIS? How does it work?

Gmail has worked great for me for the past couple years. I have three Gmail accounts along with my pop3 account. I use all the gmail accounts in order to minimize spam and for organization, but they all forward to only one Gmail account which I receive on my BB. The labels work great. I can use the Gmail BB application at any time and find any email I want to find from the past two years. This is especially helpful with finding attachments that might be useful for work since I use Gmail as a virtual online storage medium.
