Default Email and my Exchange server

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to make the BB stay in sync with my Exchange inbox?

Right now it seems it gets my coporate email, but if I delete an item from the inbox on my PC, and therefore on my Exhange Inbox, the email is still on my BB. To totally get rid of an email that I delete from my PC's Outlook, I also have to delete it off my handheld.

IS there not a way to make my BB always display my Exchange Inbox even though the email may be deleted by another source than the BB?

On mine when I delete it from my exchange it gets deleted from the BB. I'm also using BES.

Wait a minute, are you deleting it fro OWA or from your desktop outlook???

Go into your messages and click on the menu button and click on options. Select Email Reconciliation and under Delete On, make sure it's set to mailbox and handheld.

OWA? Is that Outlook Web Access?

If it is, then both or either. If I delete amywhere that affects my Exchange Inbox, then it should also disappear off my Curve.

Mine is set that way. That would delete a message from my Inbox if I delete it on my handheld. But what if I delete it from my Outlook, will it disappear from my handheld without me manually deleting it?

With exchange, OWA is considered the "master" store if you will. IF you delete it from your desktop outlook it may take a little while until it deletes it from OWA. If you delete it from OWA it should delete from your BB pretty quikly depending on sync cycles.

I must have something set wrong, or maybe it is a BB Enterpise option. I just checked my OWA. There is 4 emails there in my Inbox from Dec. 31. My BB has a dozen corporate emails in it for some reason.

One explanation for having fewer emails in your Outlook/OWA inbox than your BB is that Outlook has a built in Junk email filter, and you may have Outlook Rules set up to handle/delete certain emails. These Outlook rules are not utilized by BES. If you keep your corporate PC and Outlook running all of the time, the Rules will work in Outlook, and your BB should sync periodically with your Outlook.

I have also noticed if you Press and hold shift while deleting emails it does not synch with the BES and all emails stay on your device.!!
