8310 Curve Returned To Manufacturer
I have been having problems with my BB Curve - random shut off, keyboard and trackball failures etc.

I took it into Carphone Warehouse UK today who are sending it away to Blackberry to be fixed. I understand that I will lose everything stored on the device, however, what about email?

Will a factory reset of the Blackberry delete any of the emails stored in my main (online) inbox or will it just delete them on the phone and leave them in my inbox online? I use a BTYahoo email account.

Factory reset will most likely wipe all data, including email, calendar, contacts, etc., and return the BB to its original state.

One more reason to always make a backup.

I understand that the BB will be fully wiped, but will it wipe all of the emails in my email inbox online? (Not a Blackberry email address).

When I get the option of deletion on my BB I can delete just from my BB or from the online account as well.
In a factory reset, which of these deletions are done? From the BB or from the email account as well?

deleting it using a security wipe/reset should not affect your online accts
