Default JVM Error 517

Please Login to Remove!

Hi! My roomate left her phone charging last night and woke up this morning and was chatting in the blackberry messenger with the phone plugged to the charger, when she unplugged it, instantly a white screen showed up with a JVM error 517 message. We tried restarting it taking the battery out, and same error message. Any suggestions?? Should I install the software again? or Is this kind of problems supported on the phone warranty. Its a AT&T phone with a different carrier. She bought it less than 2 months ago.

Maybe do a search on the error message?

If you search, you will find that it is an indication of a corrupt file system. the solution is to reinstall the OS.

I am trying to reinstall the software but in the first step, where it says connecting to device, it tells me that desktop manager is unable to connect. The error message is still showing in the screen what are the steps to do the re installation??

Read the FAQ. Under General Device FAQs there are several things you can do. Then follow the sticky in the section that covers the BB model for instructions on loading the OS.
