Apps on memory card? I just used my Blackberry Desktop manager and moved a few games to my memory card but cannot find them now on the phone. Can games go onto the card? How can I find the games? |
Wirelessly posted (8310; RammerJammer!) You can't install apps to the card. You can put the install JAD files on the card and install from there but the app or game is still installed to the device memory. |
Only things you can effectively use from the SD card ore photos, music and ringtones. You can also use it to store files. |
The only way to get apps on a media is to use this program, Aerize Card Loader 2008 - Premium BlackBerry Utility Software I haven't used it personally so I can not vouch for it. |
Thanks for the replies. So in the Blackberry Desktop manager, where do I put my games? What folder? |
Wirelessly posted When you open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager use the application loader, inside the application loader you will have the option to "browse" use that to add the files to your BlackBerry. |
Running apps from microSD card - CAN be done!! I bought Aerize - costs about $15 or so. I installed it and when I dl new apps OTA it asks if I want to install it to my microSD card. I say yes, it installs, and my app runs. After getting Aerize, I upgraded my OS twice; I'm now running 4.5.0.127 on a Vzn 8830 and everything works fine. Btw, I have no connection w/ Aerize; I just saw something about the app, researched it and thought it would be helpful. Its the only bb app I've purchased! I have amAzeGPS installed and run from the microSD........! |
But it still installs the apps to the device and not to the card. |
Wirelessly posted Doesn't it just let you store apps on the card then move them to the phone or install them when you need to? |
Please re-read JSander's reply as it directly answers your question. |
