Default JVM Error 507 flash write failed

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all! i'm a bit frustrated with my situation here. I got a blackberry curve 8320. When i want to upgrade my software, it always says "A fatal error has occured while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unspecified error encountered [J:0x00000005]"

I've tried to wipe the entire handheld using jl_cmder, tried to reinstall my desktop manager, tried using my laptop and PC (XP), tried to reinstall the Blackberry 8320 OS, tried using the tutorial under - What to do next if Jl_Cmder will not connect and wipe, still no luck.

Anyone can help me?

Bump. I just got this error message trying to upgrade to the latest firmware release. My first BB finished without an issue but the second one failed.

I wiped the device using JL_CMDER.
Tried to reload the OS but continues to error.
BBDM will not connect to the device to load a back-up.

Just tried to install the OS from T-Mobile and I received an error A:0x00000001

I power cycled the device and now JL_CMDER does not recognize my BB.
Loader.exe cannot connect to ARM.

Is my Curve bricked? :(

That arror was on your computer, or the curve screen?

I read in a few threads that the wipe can take a few tires. I just wiped and reloaded one that was counted as "dead". Piece of cake when you read all the threads here. If that error is on your curve's screen, I am guessing wiping with JL is the way.

Keep in mind, I did say "guessing"

My 8320 breathes again! I brought it into work and connected it to my crash and burn PC.

XP running an older BB DM (4.3) than at home where I was running Vista and DM (4.5).

I connected the BB to the desktop and opened up BB DM. DM actually saw a PIN number so I had some good hopes. I ran Application Loader and decided to just install the older 4.3 OS to at least try and get this thing up and running. It started communicating to the BB and I started smiling still crossing my fingers. DM reported that the operation completed and the BB rebooted and was sitting at the hourglass and Ixxx8217;m crossing my fingers for even longerxxx8230;

About 10 minutes of it sitting at the hourglass I hear the tone of a text message. We have success!!

Definitely a problem with Vista or that version of DM I'm running at home which prevented me from communicating with the phone.

There is one cure.
Just take a "fresh" PC with Windows & IE and without any RIM's software. And goto na.blackberry.com/eng/services/devices/#tab_tab_update
That's All, Folks

Good Luck!
