Default Removing Camera Shutter Sound

Please Login to Remove!

Is there any way to remove this sound?
usually phones have an option for it to be silent, or to make a sound when the picture is taken.

info would be great

Description claims it is NOT for CDMA BlackBerry models. That's a bummer!

I downloaded and installed it. 4 pictures of my foot. But it clicked everytime time. All it seems to do is snap it 4 times in a row.

Wirelessly posted

I heard there's a setting where you can turn off the four in a row. Might want to post on that thread if you have further questions.

Yeah. There is some law that was passed that required a sound or else it is invasion or privacy or something like that. Too many old men snapping photos over the dressing room stalls

That's because, unlike the young men, they couldn't get down on their hands and knees for an upskirt view.

BTW, this could be done in Windows Mobile 6.1. Interesting.

Isn't there some kind of OS hack someone could do? My old Audiovox Snapper could be silenced with the loading of a modified CAMERASTATE.DAT file onto it via BitPim. Surely, something like that done could be done for a smartphone.

Surely there could for a smartphone. However, BlackBerry devices are known for their security and I have yet to see a success story of someone "hacking" the device.

The 3rd party applications are the only options that I'm aware of.
