Unhappy More on 8300 keyboard problem

Please Login to Remove!

Ok the problem with my 8300 keyboard problem the z and c key won't work. I've taken the phone apart put in a new keyboard that didn't help! I took it apart all the way down to the ckt board and used a dull point screwdriver to manually press down the keys everything works except the z and c keys. When i said it was taken down to the ckt board What I mean is to the white plastic where the keyboard pushes it to type. I don't think the phone has had moisture in it how do you tell? Should I be looking for a new phone or what? Any replies are welcome to help me out Thanks Jimmy

Still in warranty? I sure would not keep a device that had bad keys.

But I'd like to add that I took a Curve to a very reputable shop to have the faceplate changed and when I got it back 4 of the keys would not work: a, s, d and f.

I was mad, to say the least. I took it back and the tech apologized and inspected it apart and found dust under the keyboard that apparently had migrated from the old faceplate when he was working on it.

Good clean up job and everything was fine from then on. Lesson? You have to be SUPER CLEAN when a Blackberry is apart and being put back together, every step of the way.
