I can no longer sync my 8310?
I've been successfully syncing my 8310 with my desktop using the BB Desktop Manager software for nearly a year.
A couple weeks ago it stopped letting me sync with my desktop -- for no apparent reason. I waited a few days (I've learned that just waiting, sometimes "fixes" computer problems) and have tried repeatedly to sync, but it just won't sync.
It gets to where it says, "Processing Handheld Calendar" and then stops. Then I get a red error message window that says, "Unable to complete request." If I close that error window, it then continues on to successfully sync my SplashID.
Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
How much free memory do you have on your device? Deleting old calendar items on your device may help.
I have 15288824 Bytes of free memory, and only 82 entries in the calendar.
My 8310 has stopped syncing with my calendar also.
Handheld OS = 18.104.22.168
Address book syncs fine.
Calendar begins to sync, but abends.
Over 20M memory free.
I've tried clearing the calendar entries, and options, even cleared browser cache.
Pulled the battery. Stopped/started DM.
Even tried restoring older backup file.
Same results on two PCs - calendar sync starts, but abends.
After wiping the BB the calendar syncs.
Then restored the latest backup - sync failed.
Wiped again - reconfigured everything manually.
Calendar syncs fine now.
Must be the Calendar Gremlins that got you.
Probably a corrupt entry someplace that caused it.
How do I wipe?
