Default unread envelope icon

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,
i have an envelope icon displayed at the top of my homepage to indicate unread mail.
I have checked in both my SMS and email account and ALL recent mail/messages are read. I cant for the life of me see why this icon is being displayed.

If there a filter which i can set to allow me to view ONLY the unread mail/messages so i can eliminate the unread mail and get rid of the icon from my homepage.

Please help as this is getting very annoying.

Thanks
AP

I've had this happen a few times, more so with OS 4.5. A battery pull will fix it.

If a battery pull doesn't work, try hitting "u" while in the email list and it should take you to the unread message.

It might be another type of message though. I think if you have the Google Gmail app running, it also shows a message indicator. I know it'll do the red flash, but it might also have an indicator.

Also, if a battery pull doesn't work, checked your Saved Messages folder.

Got it! Pressing 'u' button allowed me to locate the unread message.
Awesome and thanks!!!

Wirelessly posted

The strange thing that took me a while to figure out when I got my Curve. Missed calls go into your Messages folder and you must "open" the reminder or delete it for the home screen msg indicator to clear. BTW, you can turn that off - sending reminders to msgs folder but it IS a good reminder for brain deads like me
