because i didnt know the first one posted. but does anyone know what they mean in the horizon wireless thing when they ask for your PIN#? does that have anything to do with getting a discount for being a BBF member?

The PIN is a unique identifier with BlackBerry devices. Every device will have a different and unique PIN. To get the discount for being a BBF member, follow the link in JSanders' signature.

I would just like to thank you all for the advice first of all, but to repay you, here is some advice from me.
you can unlock phones for free. i just called at& t and asked for the code and she gave it to me no problem. i told her i used to be a customer and bought the bb while i had at &t and said i was going over seas and didnt want to pay international charges. gave her my iemi she gave me the code. i was on the phone for a whole 4 minutes i do appreciate the advice though just hope i could help anyone with the same question.

That works if you're in good standing with the carrier. If you're a new customer, or your account isn't in good standing, you may not have the same luck.

i dont have an account with At&t so it may just depend on who takes your call for the customer service line. but good luck if anyone else trys just be very polite because if your not they wont do it, and because they are doing you a favor

Most all carriers will give free unlocks to customers in good standing,and sometime after a certain amount of time, like 90 days.

You just found a very nice person to help you with ATT.
