Default Message alert in holster query

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all
I have an 8310 which i carry around in a belt holster. I have set it up for the relevant alert tomes for email, sms, and mms and all is well.
If the phone rings whilst in the holster, the action of taking it out silences the tone and i still have to manually depress the answer button - which is fine.

When i get any message alert whilst in the holster, the aciton of taking it out the holster automatically silences the tone AND opens the message which i dont want.
Does anyone know how to set it up so as it doesnt automatically open the message upon removing the device from the holster. Ive looked in profiles but cant see it?

Many thanks in advance.
Aj

The device will open the message if you remove it from the holster within ~15 seconds of receiving the notification. It is designed that way, there is no way to turn this off AFAIK.

The 15 seconds is a guesstimate. It could be 20 or 30, I am not sure.

You need to wait 15 seconds or so (as indicated above) BEFORE you take the phone out of the holster and then it won't automatically open the message. You can't change this.
