Default UMA connection?

Please Login to Remove!

Tmob branded 8320. WiFi signal fine. No UMA logo on homescreen. Also have a new 8900 and UMA logo is on that home screen using the same router. How do I tell if UMA is active with the 8320 and if not how do I get it connected. Thanks in advance.

There should be an icon with a wifi router, click that and it takes you to a screen that lets you Scan for Networks, Manually Add Network, Get Security key and WiFi Hotspot Login.

Also click on Manage Connections and make sure you have WiFi turned on.

Manage Connections > Wi-Fi Options > BB Option Key > Wi-Fi Diagnostics

About half way down is the UMA section. It'll show a status and an error code a little below that.

Another thing to consider...

I had to give the BB's (we have 2 8320's) as well as the laptops permission thru my networking software. The phones would find it, but weren't able to connect until I allowed them.

On another note, I have a Linksys router (model wrt54g), if it matters... and no Hotspot plan, just the dataplan.
