Default Service Issue? Not sure

I normally have 1XEV in the top left of my screen but it only shows 1X. I've done several hard resets and it hasn't changed. Doesn't the EX represent the data speed so I'm thinking I'm not at full strength right now? I normally have EX no matter where I'm at in my area.

Wirelessly posted (My Curve)

It sounds like a tower issue. Hit up 611 from the cell and ask them if there is in fact a tower issue in your area. If there isn't an issue, post back herÉ

You are absolutely correct with your assumption on your data rates. 1X refers to the old 1xRTT which is the old 2G and 1XEV refers to the 1xEV-DO which is 3G.

Definitely call Sprint's tech support (keep your fingers crossed that you don't get an outsourced tech) and ask them what's going on. It could be a tower issue.
