My curve is a company blackberry and we have BES. My administrator helped me add my personal email so that it comes into my mailbox as well thru BIS. He said that once it activated and starting sending messages that a I would get a separate email folder where those messages would show up. His device (Bold) automatically did that. 2 days later I'm still getting all of my messages in my main folder. From reading other threads i think I understand that this will always be the case but there is some way to set up separate boxes for each email? help please.

That's normal.
What you could do is set up one acct as a level 1 message and the font color will be different or you can use a separate icon location for each acct.

Thanks but I need separate icons. I get over 300 messages a day...color isn't enough.

Then I would use the separate icons that come with each acct and ignore the icon that executes the main folder.

I get about 100 emails a day from separate accts and I prefer just using the main folder. It is a matter of preference.

If you want serperate inboxes for your BES email and BIS email, you can look into the Empower BES email program... (I Think that will do what you want, never used it though)

Or your BES Admin can doa DB modification that will create a seperate inbox for every the BES emails... However the DB modification effects every user on the BES.

Only 2 options... Unless you create rules to sort your incoming mail and edit the folder redirection options on your device..

As SteveO86 stated, you have 2 options
1. KB15003-Turn on or turn off the Enterprise-Only Message Icon
This needs to be done by the BES admin and will happen on every handheld conected to that BES.

2. Download install and purchase Empower BES
This will basicaly do the same as above, but only happens to you, not everyone on the BES.

Now in both instances, the main MESSAGES icon will still always get ALL messages... just hide it and ignore it.
In both instances you will have a BES mail icon and your BIS mail icon(which I assume you already have that)

do the redirect to different folders thing....i'm not going to be able to convience my IT guy to do the other option and download that program...

you only need the IT guys for option 1
option 2 is if you cant get IT to do option 1 and you are willing to purchase the app for yourself
you can download the trial for I think 10 days, then after that it stops working unless you purchase a 1 time $20 fee for your own unique key.

You might not even have to do folder redirection, when you inside your messages folder, hit the menu key and choose view folder.

Under your BES Email account choose "Inbox". this will show you only your BES emails.

Unless you use PIN messaging, saved browser pages/requests or any of the other items only stored in Messages.

Thanks everyone! My IT guy had time to look at this today. As suspected he had an IT policy on our BES server preventing the install of the other icon..he fixed it and I now have my separate icon! yeah! THANKS Again!
