Default BlackBerry 8310 - HTML Enabled E-mail? - 03-17-2009, 03:33 PM

Does anyone know whether or not the US AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8310 has the ability to receive HTML Email with any of the new 4.5.x device OS Updates?

I know this can be done on the BlackBerry 9000 (Bold) on OS version 4.6.0.190, but I am not sure if it is even available for the Curve.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

mmuras

Yes it is with OS 4.5. You will need to resend the service books once upgrading to 4.5

Keep in mind, only mail received on the device after the upgrade and the service books were resent will be in HTML. Email currently on the device will still be plain text.

Thanks jsconyers...

...I currently have a BlackBerry Bold (9000). This info request was for one of the BlackBerry Curve users I support, so I will have to see if I can download the correct BlackBerry Desktop Manager / 4.5.x device update.

This should not be too bad, I was able to do it for my BlackBerry Bold the 2nd day I had it.

Thanks again,

-mmuras

You can find the OS for the device at the top of this forum. I would post the link but I am not sure which model you're referring to, the 8300, 8310, 8320, or 8330. The OS is model specific.
