Default Urgent Help!!!

Please Login to Remove!
Just bought a Blackberry 8310 Curve today and I'm unable to connect it with my laptop. I've installed the software (Desktop Manager) and it's still not recognising no matter what I do

Also, I've installed Google Maps, Google Mail and Google Sync but on each application it says "this programme requires a working data connection"

But yet I'm able to connect to the mobile internet fine. Is it that I have to get the Enterprise Server pin number for these to work?

Do you have a BB data plan or just a regular data plan? You need the BB data for Google Sync and Google Maps. DM might also be looking for it on the initial start up.

Ahhhhh ok, yeah I just have a normal price plan with Vodafone........so I need to speak to Vodafone about updating my price plan to use the Blackberry applications such as email and GPS etc....

I've spoken to Vodafone and the cheapest I can get all the Blackberry services for is £7.50 a month.

Is this the same with the iPhone and the Google Android phone where you have to pay extra to use google services and emails etc... ?

Also, if I go on Vodafone live the msn hotmail website is blocked..........is this done on purpose by Blackberry?

All of that sounds like a carrier issue. I dont know why they would block it but at least here in the US (I'm with Tmobile), we have no restrictions whatsoever.

Whenever I try to access the hotmail website address I get the following error

"WML Converter was unable to convert the data. Only page zero is supported"



Any ideas what it could be?
