Default Iheartradio - Centennial Wireless

Please Login to Remove!

I am a Centennial Wireless subscriber. I think CW is primarily based in Indiana. The "Blue Shirt Advisor" with whom I signed up for the CW service told me that CW is the smalled network that Blackberry allowed to use the BB. Don't know if that has anything to do with my situation.

I downloaded a radio application called Iheartradio from Iheartradio.com. It installed fine but when I start it, it reads, 'fetching configuration...' then fails.

I checked the permissions and allowed them all, but it still doesn't work. I have full bars and the EDGE network. I have not yet called Centennial. Anyone have any ideas about what else I could try?

ANyone have any other radio app I could try instead?

Could try Slacker, which is another mobile radio app. I use iheartradio on my Sprint 8830, and besides having to restart the feed every half hour, its not bad. It is a battery hog, though.

I had to reinstall it, and then when it was done, I shut the phone off and did a battery pull. When the phone came back up, it worked.

I found Slacker in the BBApps store (free.) I still get an error message: "Login failed. (Error Code 500). Failed to process request: java.io.IOException:Tunnel Failed"

The error message from IHeartRadio says, "cannot fetch configuration files. You may have a problem with your network. Continue trying?" I uninstalled and reinstalled that one and have pulled the battery. No luck tho.

It is a PITA to go in, but there is a good BB guy at one of the local Centennial Wireless stores. I will see what he says.

Default Works for me

Hello...I downloaded Iheartradio and it would not work until I updated my OS software to 4.5 or higher. I had a slight issue with my software at first, but after I figured that part out, the rest was a piece of cake for me.

It looks as though you are using a compatible software, but when you click on the link from you bb browser, it should tell you if you need to upgrade or now. If you have passed that step already, which I think you may have, you may want to check out the help section of Iheartradio for assistance.

I can tell you think much...I have an BB Curve 8310, and I love that app.

Good luck... dd

Does anyone have the location codes (ex. BL or AW or F7) that's listed on an 'itemized" billing printout. Centennial said I have to subscribe to itemized billing every month for them to give me the city, or location codes. I paid 10 dollars for this print out but I guess that means little.

jimmyjohnson,
I am not sure what the location codes are needed for. they are on my "enhanced billing" (1.99/month) but I use mine for business and my bookkeeper wants the itemized billing. I just looked through the billing further and found that they do show the location codes on the enhanced billing. I have 19 different "From Codes" on my bill.

Dnicebb,
I do have 4.5 and have tried deleting and reinstalling IHR. I remember looking for a help section on the website and just confirmed that either I am dense or there is no help section that I found.

I have got to believe that Centennial somehow doesn't allow programs like these that would hog bandwidth. Maybe I am just being paranoid, though. I'll make it over to the Centnennial store and post what I find out.
