Default Blackberry Maps??

Please Login to Remove!

Downloaded the new OS today for the 8310 which included BB maps. I can see BB maps in the app list but do not see it on my homepage. Any suggestions as to where it could be?

BBMaps does not function on At&t with OS 4.5 because it requires a service book that at&t refuses to push down to their devices.

NP. There is a workaround, but it requires you to load an older version of BBMaps onto your device. Check the Beta You Than Me section of the forums. There is a sticky that explains how to get BBMaps working on At&t 4.5

I don't recommend bothering with it. There are plenty of other much better GPS app options out there. Visit the GPS subforum.

I find Google Maps + Latitude a thousand times more useful, personally.

i'm stuck on BB maps, but that's mainly because it's the only maps application that can utilize GPS (damn you, verizon!). but agreed, if i had the freedom to choose between 3rd party apps, google maps would be my weapon of choice

Here's an observation........ Cooperstown NY (Baseball hall of fame and a 12mile long lake) Does not show up......

I live here and when I went to the BB maps thing crappy little bergs near me showed but the village of Cooperstown is not there nor is the very large lake.

WTF!?

I am using google and works great for me.

i've used both the BBMaps and whatever the Maps is on my BBCurve and can't stand them. ever since i d/l google maps, it's the best app for it, i guess unless you pay for Garmin on it. i have a garmin in my car and for being a BB, it's pretty close to it. i used it to walk around downtown charlotte and it move every step of the way with me!

google maps all the way!

I'm pretty sure everyone is in agreement that Google Maps is the better of the 2
