Cool Doing a search for emails and then executing a delete prior

Please Login to Remove!

When doing a search on my Blackberry Curve 8310 I try to execute the command delete prior to delete all those messages. They delete fine from my device but they are still in my Outlook on my desktop when I arrive in the office. My setting are correct to Delete On Desktop and Handheld so I am not sure what could be wrong. Any ideas??

Delete Prior will never delete the messages from your client (Outlook), no matter what settings you have on your device.

To delete also in Outlook, highlight the first message, then hold down the Cap key (the one with Aa on it) and scroll down to highlight all the messages. Then press Delete. Assuming your have 'Mailbox & Handheld' selected, it will work.

u can have it ask you everytime whether you want to delete on handheld or on handheld $ mailbox. just set DELETE ON: to PROMPT
Also this will never work unless your Outlook is on an Exchange server

It's not a matter of Exchange server or not. You have to be on BES. It's entirely possible to have Exchange email sent to your BB without BES.

In addition to what takeshi and juwaack68 stated, even if you it set this way, delete prior will NOT prompt you.
