Default BlackBerry Gone lost...Help!!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Hey so I recently lost my blackberry and within it, like many others, is a ton of personal info. The main information that Im worried about is within my text messages, so my question is; Does anyone know if a an 8920 will automatically delete prior messages when turned back on after a 15 day hiatus of being off, than clear the info if the setting had been set like so? Also does anyone know any way of being able to wipe out the info stored onto the phone (or send a signal) so that when turned on the phone would wipe out? btw if any of that is possible please keep in mind that I had already turned off the sim? Please help if possible with any info, greatly appreciated if so. Thanks,

I believe the default deletion age is 30 days, so after 2 weeks you may find all the messages are still there.

On BES there is a remote wipe option, but I'm not sure about BIS. Might have been an idea to ask when you rang up and cut the line??

For future reference, you can buy thirdparty software to do this for non-BES software. Also a device password is a good idea.

So once the phone turns back on will it automatically wipe the messages during the startup process? That of course based on it being off for more than 30days. And I don't think bes would work due to the sim being shut down, thanks anyways

It's always a good idea to pin lock your BB.
