Default Appointments on 8330

Please Login to Remove!

I have Verizon 8330 curve 4.3 OS. When I make a new apppointment at the top of the screen it has send using and proposes one of the two e-mail POP addresses that I have set up. I do not want to use the proposed e-mail address and do not seem to be able to change to my other e-mail address.
Any suggestions

Go into your email application and hit the menu key. Next, go into OPTIONS and then EMAIL SETTINGS. You're MESSAGE SERVICES option should read DESKTOP. HTH

I followed your instructions but under MESSAGES SERVICES it only proposes one of the e-mail addresses that I have set up. If I click on the e-mail address it then proposes the other e-mail address and I am unable to key in DESKTOP.HTH. Thanx for the suggestion do you have any other ideas?

Are you on an BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server)? Sorry for the confusion, the option I suggested should read "Desktop" not a option called desktop.hth, the hth was just me saying hope this helps. What if you were to go into your OPTIONS and then ADVANCED, DEFAULT SERVICES- what is listed as your default messaging (CMIME)? What are your options?

Sorry about the hth I guess I am not up to the acronyms. I am not on a BES. I went to default services as you suggested The options on both CICAL & CMIME are the two email accounts that I have set up, and it shows the e-mail account that I would want to send with when creating a new apppointment as the active choice. Thank you for your suggestions, I hope you have some more.

Are you still having the issue?

Options -> Advanced Options -> Default Service, and the CICAL entry controls the calendar change it to the email address you want then do a battery pull and start creating new calendar entries. Beware though it may/will effect your syncing if you sync your calendar.

Hi. I changed the CICAL to the e-mail address that I would use when sending an appointment. I removed the battery and let it reboot. I then went to appointments and it still proposed the e-mail address that I do not want to use. I then went back to CICAL and it had changed back to the address that appears in the send to box when creating a new appointment and this is not the e-mail address that I would use.

So the CICAL entry keeps changing back to the email address you don't want to use.

Maybe remove that email account complete and then change the CICAL entry and then try to create the calendar event, it should create it as the email account your want and then re-add that second email account.

Delete the CICAL service book you don't want. It will disappear from the menus.

Just remember, if you resend service books for any reason, you'll have to do that again. That includes performing an OS update.
