My 8330 thru Verizon is dead. Can't be turned on. I've removed the media card but just wondering if there is anyway to get rid of other data that is in memory before I send it back to the insurance co. They have already replaced this one with a new 8330. I have to send it back or pay them 150.00. I don't think there is a lot of info on there but I just worry about someone who is going to recycle this phone getting access to some info that is there. Should I pay the 150.00, keep the phone and destroy it myself or is there someone to get rid of this data that is left?

What screen do you see after removing the battery and reinserting it?
Most phones are savable.

finally got it on. I just had a blank screen. no power. something was keeping the battery from touching all the contacts, it's on now. thanks
