Brand New BlackBerry 8310, Dead, No life.
 

Hello

I bought this as faulty, it's Brand New (everything sealed in box) on eBay recently.

It's arrived today and everything seems fine.

The problem with it is that, it's dead, when you plug it in with the AC, there is no sign of life, no flickers, no red lights, nothing, I've put in a charged working BlackBerry battery and it's the same issue.

Is this a known problem?

Any advice?

If you pull the battery, SIM, and memory card, adn plug the phone in, so you get anything? If not, it sounds like (at the very least) a bad/fried power supply in the device.

How much would power supplies cost to repair?

No luck, still no power. I think I'll just take it to a phone shop, hopefully they will know what to do with it.

Damn, this is frustrating!

Please check a few different outlets. I once plugged my phone into an outlet attached to an on-off switch at someone else's house. It happened to be in the "off" position, and I thought there was something wrong with my phone when it did not charge.

Umm, yeah. I'd suggest that next time BEFORE you buy a totally dead BlackBerry on eBay that you FIRST try to find out what it costs to have one repaired. ;-)

Any luck fixing your phone? I have one that's completely dead. Worked for 2 months now no life.

yea any luck on fixing this my 8310 work for 2 month and conected to may computer just tranfering some ringtonges it just die no red light no nothing what could it be
